I’m Michelle Fleischhacker, CEO and Principal Designer of Room Service Interiors, a multi-award winning boutique design studio serving Cochrane, Calgary, and the surrounding areas since 2006.

My design philosophy is simple: function and beauty should never compete. The best spaces are practical, personal, and timeless—layered with warmth, a dash of vintage, and the kind of quiet confidence that makes a home feel like it’s been there forever.

Before I was designing kitchens and baths, I was trained to notice the details—I’m a journalism graduate, which means I can’t help but ask the right questions, dig for the real problem, and obsess (politely) over what actually matters.

That “detail-first” wiring is the backbone of Room Service Interiors. Because most renovation stress doesn’t come from one big thing—it comes from a thousand small decisions, vague assumptions, and the mental load of managing the moving parts. Our job is to bring clarity, structure, and calm to the process so you can enjoy the transformation without living in chaos.

Our Credentials: Building Trust Through Expertise

I am proud to hold a Diploma in Interior Design and am AKBD certified through the NKBA. Additionally, I carry the CHBA Adaptiv renovation designation and am a DDA accredited designer. In simple terms, I am passionate about both the aesthetic and functional aspects of design, and I am committed to creating homes that meet your current needs while considering future adaptability.

A Personal Note from Michelle Fleischhacker

As my sons transition into young adulthood, we are approaching the empty-nester phase, but family gatherings still feel like cooking for a village. I cherish being in a home filled with soul, surrounded by the people I love, and I try to plan at least one trip each year centered on exploring European history, admiring beautiful architecture, and enjoying a truly excellent bed.
